Home > Bear Hunting
These hunts are operated from the lodge but may take the hunter anywhere from the Yellowstone Park boundary north to areas of the Six Mile Camp. In Montana
we are not permitted to bait animals. This makes bear hunting a great
challenge for those who are up for it. Success rates are very good for
those with the patience and zeal to pursue these incredible creatures.
In the spring, black bears are very active, spending nearly every waking
hour foraging and searching for food which may consist of carrion, wild
berries and various grasses. Once spotted, things can really get interesting.
Much like a spot and stalk hunt, it is truly man against nature. There
hunts provide the best opportunity from April through May. Hunters should
apply for this license prior to March 15th. |
